About Debbie

It all started with making mud pies on the banks of Lake Erie.  Discovering the joy of cooking soon followed.

After graduating with honors from Ohio University with a B.S. in Commercial Foods and a minor in Communications, Debbie worked in the test kitchens of Stouffer Frozen Foods and Marriott Corporation prior to starting her own styling business.

For more than 20 years, Debbie has been using her culinary skill and artistic sense to create food with maximum visual and appetite appeal. Her styling can be seen in print advertising, food packaging, numerous websites and on television and film, for clients including Campbells Soups, Coca-Cola, Friendly’s Restaurants, Perdue, Pizza Hut, McCormick Spice Co., and Stouffer Foods.

Projects have included:

  • Preparing a picnic meal in mid-summer in a stifling sailboat galley for Bon Appetit Magazine
  • Cooking 600-pounds-worth of turkey dinners all outdoors on location for the Barry Levinson film Avalon
  • Styling for many new packaging launches—including Perdue, McCormick’s Grill Mates, Thai Kitchen, and Campbell’s
  • Styling for media tours with notable chefs and celebrities, recipe development, recipe contest coordinating, menu planning and implementation
